Why are enterprises adapting to mobility?

With the rise of mobile technology and globalization, enterprises which fail to adapt to mobility will find themselves at the considerable disadvantage. Here are some of the key reasons why most enterprises nowadays find themselves in a need to quickly adjust to mobility:

– ability to effectively make use of global workforce without relocation and accommodation expenses
– being always online, thus allowing to react faster to emergencies or critical new information
– ability to attend meetings/conferences on the go without the need to be physically present
– faster collaboration and decision-making process due to quickly available input

What does the popularity of games like Pokemon Go mean for app development industry?

Pokemon Go’s underlying technology is nothing new. It just needed a famous franchise and a pretty well-developed application to push it further to the masses. Needless to say, we will see a lot more of similar games and applications shortly who will try to ride the wave of Pokemon Go’s popularity.

And don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that. Quite a few established developers and recent startups have been harboring ideas of introducing augmented reality applications but were unsure whether they would be welcomed by the general public and be successful overall.

Pokemon Go made a push for such kind of applications, and we can anticipate much more to come. The hype will gradually reduce but if you have been contemplating releasing an augmented reality application for a while – now is the time to do it.

Why do app developers prefer iOS despite Android’s market leadership?

The main reason is, of course, money. The same application on Apple App Store will earn considerably more than on Google Play Store.
One of the factors is a more common piracy among Android users. It is quite easy to root your device to allow for pirated apps installation. Android users are also on average more tech savvy which makes the whole rooting procedure even easier for them.

There is also a factor that an iPhone will be basically unusable unless you connect it to your iTunes account that already has a credit card attached to it. Android will be fully functional without your CC connected to Google Wallet.

What is the average budget of the mobile apps you develop?

Well, that is not an easy thing to give you precise figure for every mobile application that we’ve developed. It is important to keep in mind that each project is unique and has its scope of technologies used in the development process, the various number of implemented features, diversity in design instruments, etc. The average budget would be around $10 000-$ 15 000 per platform, but again I would like to point out that the development cost depends on the complexity of each particular project. Please, keep in mind that we’re developing only native applications. And we also develop backends for mobile applications, which is necessary in most of the cases.

Which software and tools do you mostly use while developing apps?

We are making a specialty in creating native mobile applications on iOS and Android that’s why Swift and Java are going without saying. We’re following Google Android’s and Apple iOS’s guidelines and recommendations because this is a way to make UX and UI comfortable for most of the users and to attract them from the first sight. We’re using latest versions of native SDKs and doing our best to implement the maximum of features using built-in tools because it keeps product cleaner and faster. If native tools are not enough – we’re utilizing self-developed tools and well-known libraries.
Again I would like to bring into focus that in IT world it is crucial always to be on track, be aware of new updates, features, and technologies. We need not only to know about that but also learn how to use it and apply in the future projects development.

Do you think Augmented Reality apps are the future? Why?

It’s obvious that now they are approaching to the top positions. In my opinion, Augmented Reality apps are not the future, definitely not the entire one, it cannot cover and capture all spheres. It would be popular in the games industry, it might get fans in educational apps and e-commerce domain, maybe in applications that are related to video and photography. Putting this another way, Augmented Reality apps will get the entertainment niche and a piece of pie in the education field.
Why? People are always searching for joy, happiness, all possible ways to distract themselves from the reality. I don’t know why they do that, but these are the facts. And while people continue wanting more and expanding the frames of amusements Augmented Reality apps would be in great need.
